At Athelstan's words he breaks off his explorations of Ragnar's chest to kiss the dark haired Northumbrian passionately. It matters to him that Athelstan understands; that he has faith in Sinric. But also that Sinric needs Athelstan not to speak because he can't think about Leo right now. There can't be fear when he's enjoying their company so much.
