It's almost time to leave their little hunting cabin and go back to the town, much as Athelstan and Ragnar might wish they could stay... but Athelstan's dog is nowhere to be seen.

Athelstan stands in the doorway, looking and calling for him, and finally he reappears, carrying something in his mouth.

"Fiachra? What have you got there?"

He crouches for a better look, frowning as it strikes him that doesn't look like a deer bone...

"I'll do it again," Ragnar says, "at some point, when the Christian can stand up again."

"The Christian wants something else first", Athelstan murmurs, pressing kisses to Ragnar's chest and moving lower.

"Oh yes?" Ragnar says, sounding hopeful.

"To return the favour", he says with another kiss. "And then you can have me. Unless you'd rather that now."

"Oh, I'll do whatever you want me to or do to me," Ragnar says. "Nothing's keeping you from sitting down on me, if you feel like it."

"Well, if you say so..." He straddles Ragnar, tugging at his trousers.

"Whatever you want, Athelstan," Ragnar says, lifting his hips to make the trousers easier to strip off.

His prick springs free, very ready and eager.

He wavers, not sure if he wants to touch with hands or mouth, or be taken.

Finally he moves off a little, lying on the bracken again.

"Come to me."

Ragnar kicks off his trousers and rolls over to reach for Athelstan. "Here I am!"

Athelstan opens his arms, waiting for him.

"You know what I want."

"I know what you want, and what you like best," Ragnar says, pushing Athelstan's legs apart to cover him, moving smoothly into his open arms. "You want me inside you, pounding against the sweet spot hidden high up in your hole."

"Yes", Athelstan breathes, welcoming him in. "My master and my shield."

It is easy to enter him, as Ragnar's finger earlier has made Athelstan slick and open; it comes natural to spread him wide and slide inside and be sheathed in the familiar, beloved body.

They fit perfectly, this way. Ragnar arches above Athelstan, just the right size to cover him and kiss his lips while inside him.

"You're exactly the right size," he murmurs against Athelstan's lips.

"As you are", he murmurs back. "At least for me."

"Nice and broad to cover you," Ragnar whispers into Athelstan's hair, "just large enough to fill you all up, but no so huge as to hurt you."

"Yes". He caresses Ragnar's back, moving against him. "All I could want."

Ragnar leans in and kisses him, gently and leisurely, as their hips easily find a rhythm to move with each other, in both unison and counterpoint.

"And you shall have it!"

He goes slow, very slow -- Athelstan has just spent mere minutes ago but, as Ragnar knows him, may do so again if taken slowly and thoroughly enough.

He's young and healthy, and his recovery time tends to be short. He smiles into the kiss.

"Yes. This is perfection."

Ragnar holds Athelstan's face between his hands as he keeps slowly thrusting into him. "I love you," he murmurs. "Our minds are made for each other, and so are our hearts, and our bodies."
