It's full of lush life -- long grass, and all sorts of possibly interesting wild herbs, and a little pond around which dragonflies flit, shining in beautiful metallic colours that may or may not actually occur on the dragonflies of Earth, and dark pink water lilies on the pond, pointy flowers peeking out between the huge, placid leaves. On one of those, a large green frog is sitting, as if out of a storybook.

Ragnar, in the meanwhile, has found a tree he likes, and rather than call Athelstan while he's exploring, he takes off his cutoff, leather jacket and shirt and leans on the tree, bare-chested, and with a welcoming grin, towards the moment when Athelstan will turn around and notice him again.

The herbs are very interesting, and he makes a mental note to come back here another time if he can to investigate them more. And then he ends up in a staring contest with the frog, until it deliberately turns away and Athelstan looks around to see where Ragnar's got to.

"...you found one."

Ragnar nods. "Comfortable as a couch," he says. "And you found a new green friend?"

"Yes, but I think he lost interest."

He straightens up and makes his way over.

Ragnar leans against the tree, grinning widely, watching him approach.

"And I see you haven't", he says with raised eyebrows. "Clothes coming off already?"

"Well, I wanted to offer you something nice to look at," Ragnar grins. "IN order to compete with Kermit over there."

"Kermit doesn't have a look-in", he promises. "I just don't get out in the wild much."

Although no doubt Ragnar will change that.

"That's a pity," Ragnar says. "Being out in the wild is good for your soul. I'm sure Sinric will tell you so as well."

"Well, maybe now I've got somebody to go with..."

He curls up in the tree root at Ragnar's side.

"It's really worth all that traipsing around," Ragnar says, pulling him close for a kiss. "You find herbs and frogs and comfortable places for snuggling and making out."

"And bigger animals to watch, if you're quiet."

But for now, he turns up his face to return the kiss.

Ragnar kisses him, because that's more important than saying clever things about nature.

And then, he starts stroking Athelstan's back because he's already realised how much Athelstan likes being touched by hi shands.

Those big, warm, rough hands do feel good against his skin. Athelstan hums pleasure against Ragnar's lips, then pulls back just a breath.

"No one else comes out here, right?"

"I've never seen anybody here," Ragnar assures him, hands roaming underneath Athelstan's shirt.

His head tips back for a brief moment of utter pleasure in the touch.

"Good."

Athelstan tipping back his head is of course an invitation for Ragnar to kiss his throat, so he does that, beard tickling as he moves.

He will forever deny that the sound he makes then is a giggle, as he squirms a little.

"Your beard scratches."

Ragnar chuckles, lips against the sensitive skin. He wants to hear that giggle again.

"Admit that you like it!"

"Well. Maybe I do like it a bit."

Ragnar chuckles again, and nibbles at Athelstan's Adam's apple.

"Yes, I like that too..."

His hands start to roam over Ragnar's chest.

"And I like that," Ragnar says, with a little gasp when Athelstan touches a more sensitive bit.

Encouraged, he replaces his fingers with his lips at that particular spot.

Now, it's time for Ragnar to tilt back his head and moan with pleasure.
