Ragnar comes to lie beside him, bending his head to kiss Athelstan just as he adds the third finger.

Athelstan's cry this time contains Ragnar's name, then just wordless sound.

Ragnar kisses him again.

"You might be ready for me now," he says.

"I'm in your hands", Athelstan whispers against his lips.
